Ban These Fools Too!

Offo! I’m already sick of this Shah Rukh Khan behaving badly hoopla. Without getting into details and taking sides as to if he was right or not, I hardly think he’s going to care if he’s banned from Wankhede Stadium. The guy can buy his own stadium if he wanted to. I think if anyone should be blamed, it should be Priyanka Chopra. Since the lady has entered his life vis-à-vis their so-called love affair, nothing seems to be going right for King Khan. Okay PC lovers, don’t go getting your panties in a knot on me. Relax. I was kidding. Anyway, like I tweeted yesterday, now if only we could ban SRK from films, we’d be good to go. Now don’t you SRK fans go nuts on me. You guys also relax. But that got me thinking. Which other stars needed to be banned and for what reasons? <Insert evil laugh here> Check it out!

Tusshar Kapoor should be banned effective immediately from taking such pictures. See, I’m sure his 10 fans fainted after he tried (and failed) to pull a John Abraham on the world. But those moobs and that really unsexy face (what kinda expression is that?) made most people faint from shock.

I’ve always said that post Fashion, Priyanka Chopra’s wannabe attitude hit an all time high. But more recently, I heard her speaking in an interview and basically, I wanted to puke. It wasn’t what she said but the way she said it. We get it; you have an accent—good for you. But we’ve heard you speak normally so just cause you’re abroad, there is no need to sit and turn it on. And because of that, PC should be banned from speaking.

If anyone needs to be banned from any form of social network, publications and banned from appearing in front of any camera, it should be Poonam Pandey. And there are a number of reasons for this, 1) she isn’t sexy, 2) she steals tweets, 3) she can’t spell, 4) she is a waste of space in the cyber world. She should be banned from being human even.

My ‘favorite’ Freida Pinto should be banned from India. The damned girl got super lucky with Slumdog Millionaire but since then her attitude has become very hoity toity. And then the girl has the audacity to claim that Bollywood isn’t her thing. Dude, Bollywood doesn’t want you; neither does India for that matter.

And then there are these ones:

Shahid Kapoor should be banned from all Spelling Bee competitions.

Karan Johar needs to be banned from making movies in London and New York. Make a movie in India fool.

Let’s ban Bipasha Basu from wearing clothes. She hardly wears any anyway.

And lastly, Sid Mallya should be banned from looking at mirrors. They’re lying to him and telling him he’s hot property.

Ban karlo please. Woh bhi now!

IPL is Here!

Thank you Cricket Gods! I've been having serious cricket withdrawals to the extent that I watch old matches on YouTube and stare at my framed Team India photo for hours just smiling. Yes, I too am convinced I am going slightly mad. But the cricketing gods have had mercy on me and IPL begins today. Just to confirm, it's a whole bunch of ongoing tournaments over a span of 50+ odd days. Okay so, I'm all about the Mumbai Indians and the Bangalore Royal Challengers this time around. Mumbai cause bas kya, dil se I'm a Mumbaikar and of course the Sachin Tendulkar factor. Hail the God of Cricket! *bows* As for the Bangalore Royal Challengers, well, it houses my new crush (note: huge giant crush) Virat Kohli.*eyes aflutter* Convinced it is going to be one helluva tournament. Excited, yes! Ready, of course! I'll be blogging about all the matches played by both these teams and if at some point they play each other (i.e. April 12th), then basically, I'm dead. Until then, keep it locked here!

Bollywood Time!

I've been so caught up in "Bleeding Blue" and more recently, following Anna Hazare's mission to ending corruption in India, that I feel like I've forgotten all about one of my other favorite loves: Bollywood! It would be a sad day in my life if I ever did. But no, my dearest Bollywood, I have not forgotten you. In fact, I've missed you heaps. So to myself back in filmy mode, I decided to countdown the top 10 pieces of Bollywood information (read: gossip), that is making the rounds this week. And considering that I've been out of it for a bit, this may actually enlighten me as much as you!

10. IPL Nights!: Well, of course I had to bring something cricket related into this post. Alright so it's pretty indirect but word has it that this year's IPL after parties will be filled with heaps of glamour as usual. However, this time, it will be Bollywood babes that will be rocking the parties. Man, all I want is to attend one! Just to see what all the hype is all about. Of course, you'll see the familiars, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty, but expect more pretty Bollywood babes to be present.

9. Bips' Text Mess Up!: Bipasha Basu can sit on her pretty butt neither denying or accepting her break up with hottie John Abraham but hello, we aren't fools. So the actress apparently sent out an SMS to friends claiming that not only was she single but "being single was great!" And when the press got a hold of this information, her publicist came out with a boring reason claiming her phone was stolen blah, blah. Sure Bips.

8. Mallika in Vienna: So check this out. For the Romy Awards in Vienna (who and what are those?), no other actor from the industry was invited EXCEPT apni Mallika Sherawat. Needless to say, she's over the moon creating quite the fuss about it. She is apparently excited to meet European designers and filmmakers. And what will she do with them? Make dal? Ciao Mallika.

7. Saif's Tattoo Disappears: The dude swore he'd never remove the tattoo. "Yeh tune kya kiya Saifu?" I'm pretty sure OTT Kareena Kapoor asked her beau Saif Ali Khan that very question especially since the grapevines are abuzz with news of Saifu's tattoo mysteriously disappearing. Where and why it has gone, well, we'll have to wait to find out. Is this a sign of trouble brewing in Saifeena land?

6. Ranveer and Anushka Drama: I wish she would pick up a darned flower and pluck the petals off them saying, "He loves me, he loves me not." Maybe, just maybe, Anushka Sharma would figure out her feelings for Ranveer Singh. Uske baad, can they admit it, get a room and be done with it? Yet again, the duo are out talking about their admiration for one another. When young Singh was questioned as to whether he blew flying kisses at Priyanka Chopra during an event (totally different story we'll save for another time), he was saved by his ladylove who went on to defend him. Like I said, get a room guys.

5. Hazare Gets Support from Btown: Please crawl out from under your rock if you don't know Anna Hazare. The man who is fasting in order to pass a bill which will control corruption in India is receiving heaps of support from Bollywood stars. From Anupam Kher, who even turned up to speak publicly in Delhi, to Diya Mirza, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha, each of the stars have decided they will support his cause in order to better India. Kudos celebs, it's always great to get out and use your star power for the greater good.

4. Bad Boy Shiney: So Shiney Ahuja has been put away for seven years and now, co-star Sayali Bhagat has come out to claim that apparently, he tried very hard to get too close for comfort with her during a shoot. While there are some odd claims of Ahuja apparently disappearing with a 17-year-old extra from the film one night, this sure does shed some light to his rather tacky imbecile behavior. You've been a bad boy Shiney!

3. Sush on a Break: I love Sushmita Sen. But her claim that she is, "on a break from films" is rather sad because erm...we haven't seen her in anything substantial in a while anyway. Wasn't she already on a break phir? Right now, she claims, she isn't working on anything but her I AM foundation which she plans to expand and of course, she has her hands busy playing mom to two pretty girls. Sigh. I miss her already.

2. Ricky Bahl is John Tucker: Okay what are these people talking about? Of course, Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl is a copy of John Tucker Must Die. Not only does the premise sound like a ditto copy but hello, it gives off the same vibe too. The cast and crew are hell bent on telling us that it really isn't but we know better. If it smells and look like it, it is.

1. Ranbir, Ranbir: Apparently, he has called it off with Katrina Kaif and Nargis, his alleged newer link up, has moved on to one Shayan Munshi. Ranbir Kapoor is all about breaking hearts but Katrina has found herself mending her dil in London. The poor lass found herself falling into some serious depression after Kapoor let her know that uh, yeah, marriage isn't happening. Drats! And with that her parents said, "Come to London!" So off she went. Friends claim she is simply miserable that despite being so beautiful, two of India's biggest stars, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, have refused to marry her. Aw, Kats!

Okay, it's a wrap! Believe me, I have been Bollywood-Enlightened. Found myself sitting and feeling very satisfied with my rendezvous with Bollywood for tonight. Can't take the Bollywood outta me, that's for sure!

Another Round of Banter

Uh oh! It's that time again. With lots on my mind, and heaps on my tongue to talk about, here I am once again ready to spill my guts on troubling news that is bothering me. Interestingly, my father believes that I take my social responsibilities far too seriously which to me, means absolutely nothing until I can make a difference in the world. Anyhow, eventually I will make do my part to help change - yes, I am on the rant too. For now, you'll just have to deal with me going on and on about tidbits that are a cause for concern in my life. However, this round includes some interesting information too! It's not all bad and negative, I promise.

Oscar Watching
So in the past week or so, I've finally had time to catch up on watching some Oscar nominated flicks. The Reader was absolutely amazing! Kate Winslet was perfect - her accent, her behavior, all of it was so believable. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button too was incredible. I love the idea behind it. It had some underlying matter too which was interesting. Strangely, people believe aging is a pain but clearly if it were to work the opposite, it would be equally as hard if not harder. Brad Pitt was incredible. Okay, Dor was not nominated but I watched it again and I love it. Its such a simple story with an even better star cast who handled each sentiment so correctly. Nagesh Kukunoor at his best after Iqbal.

Preity Zinta Dissected
India Today, my favorite news publication, did a fabulous analysis of Preity Zinta's current state of mind. While the world is sitting and scratching their heads over her current relationship status with Ness Wadia, the duo confirmed their break-up when Wadia landed up in a tiff during an IPL match and Zinta chose to sit with the team in the dug out. The "relationship evaluation" bought up some interesting reasons as to why they probably aren't together anymore. From their social status', to Ness Wadia's mother, to Preity's try-hard behavior and Ness' unambitious behavior, and so on. Take a read - I guarantee you will be ultra entertained and informed.

Post 26/11
Headlines Today, my favorite news channel, went on to air to broadcast the changes that have NOT happened and were promised to the Mumbai police post 26/11. Politicians claimed, "How should we know?" And all poor Rahul Kanwal could do was ask question after question. And of course pissed me off. They were promised a range of new weapons and protection which have yet to be delivered. Where are they? The money has been allocated only for local politicians to claim that the file is lost. LOST? This is not the Middle-Ages but the computer age! Print another copy dammit! They better get on it and soon. It is simply not acceptable.

Aussie Attacks
Australia is notorious for its racism. In fact students from abroad, almost know for sure, they will be hit with racist remarks if they decide to go and study there. However, shouting a derogate remark is still acceptable but then physically beating up the students making them fight for their life, is not. A young Indian student was beaten with a screwdriver last week, and yesterday another was burnt to near death. The Australian government and police are shoving the case under the rug claiming that the students were at the "wrong place at the wrong time" and that Indian students make themselves "vulnerable" to such situations because they work at gas stations and all night stores to earn an extra penny.

I think the Australian Government better come up with a better excuse and better explanation for their extremely ignorant answers. Find the culprits and punish them dammit. As for myself, when I ain't sitting still and you better know it. Another letter to the Editor of the SCMP is on its way.

The Mayhem that is May

May was beyond chaotic. It may have something to do with me taking on too much for my own good BUT, its always good to be busy - an idle mind is the devil's mind and I for one, know that too damn well. But more importantly so much has been going on in the world and my maddness has only added to the mayhem which is May. Ready to read? Off we go!

IPL and IPL

It was literally the Indian Premiere Cricket League versus the Indian Political League this year. While the Congress party took the take and won majority, which was quite expected, it seems that the favorites on the cricket end were unable to live up to their lineage. Manmohan Singh was reappointed as the Prime Minister, after Rahul Gandhi politely declined (how disappointed am I?), Sachin and Saurav are headed back home from South Africa after their teams, Mumbai Indians and Kolkatta Knight Riders both were booted out of the IPL. And I was favoring M.I. big time, counting on the little maestro to pull a rabbit out of his magicians hat. It's not fair to expect that much from him I suppose. Oh well - next year, Mumbai will kick butt. I'm sure of it. After all, I intend on being there to support my team all the way. Now I'm stuck finding a new team to support 'till the end... hmph.

Advani: No Support From the Ani's

I didn't think L.K. Advani would win but I did expect the Sindhi population to support him in India. Get this, Ulhasnagar whose Sindhi population is over 40%, only had a 26% voter turn out. Not only did the decide not to vote for him, they didn't even bother turning up on voting day. In fact, the day before voting, a campaign titled "Jago Sindhi Jago" was in full force all in hopes to encourage the Sindhi population to get up and vote for Advani but to no avail obviously.

Crushing Over Rahul Gandhi

All it took was one press conference where he smiled and flaunted his dimples everso cutely. I was floored. For many years now, I never understood why the girls oggled over Rahul Gandhi. But I was so wrong - and had never paid close enough attention. Rahul Gandhi is not only HOT, but uber cute. And what he did was so commendable - promising a journalist that he would definitely get to his question next. Which he did of course. But his mannerism and courtesy with which he responded was adorably regal. Clearly, he is his fathers son. Only Rajiv Gandhi's son could be so perfect.

Discrimination in Delhi

I was told such an interesting fact the other day which not only stomped me but made me realize how little I knew about my country. Did you know that Chandni Chowk, yes yes, Delhi 6, is divided into a Hindu and Muslim area? And whats more, if by chance, you walk into the Hindu area asking for a meat-filled paratha, they will laugh and tell you, you are in the wrong area. Who would have known? Who knew the capital city would still have so much discrimination. I need to witness it to believe it honestly, but something tells me I would get quite a beating.

100 Days

Obama completed 100 days of his regime. What is his claim to fame thus far? Ordered the closure of Guantamo Bay, lessened pressure on Stem Cell bans etc. I guess he is still working on the recession and job issues that are still a part of America. I haven't quite made up my mind on him yet.

Misc May

And besides all this, my publication will be up and going by the end of the week. Watch this space for more on that!

The One Where I Heart New York and IPL Drama

I love New York. Whats not to love? The busy streets, the fast pace, the insane partying, the fabulous life. I heart heart heart New York. But then, all good things must come to an end and I must head back west to suburban California where at 10 p.m. all you hear is the occasional fire siren and not the jarring music in the Meat Packing district. It's so incredible how all the different states in the U.S. can be so varied in life and culture. Manhattan is perhaps the most diverse. A single island houses people of all origins and cultures, filled with an incredible sights, and a quick lifestyle. Within a heartbeat you can be downtown dancing at a club and then head on uptown to an upscale Upper East Side stylish pad. Either way, Manhattan has an vibe that cannot be imitated or copied. It makes me realize how much of a city girl I am, how I need to be surrounded by noise and shor instead of a small city and mountains. I need to be running around, taking subways, making frantic calls on my cell, utilizing my BlackBerry to the maximum and being 26! Definitely more NYC on the travel list for me this year. New York New York New York - I love it!

On the otherhand, Shah Rukh Khan never fails to disappoint me more and more on a daily basis. This time, he has gone ahead and let the Australians dominate the Knight Riders. If rumors and newspapers are to be believed, the Australian players have made some some racial remarks towards the Indian players (?) Uhhh.... hello? Am I the only person who thinks this is incredibly silly? How can you discriminate in an INDIAN Premiere League? That is simply absurd. And of course, SRK refuses to comment. Duh! He has no say regarding his team who have no respect for him. Clearly, SRK does not know cricket and he should probably not dabble in it for a while.

Roshni's Ramblings

The month is coming to a close and as usual, I have loads to ramble and chat about. But then, I'm never short of things to talk about. I'm keeping myself rather entertained with the current IPL which along with consisting of some great cricket is also keeping me rather amused with its nonstop controversies. The Knight Riders, who aren't really having much luck with winning any matches have found a mysterious player amongst them who has taken a liking to some serious blogging. So what's the big deal you ask? Well, the cricketer has revealed quite a lot of juicy information about the team and behind the scene happenings. While the player has not been identified, the team owners were to quick to claim that it is in fact, an outsider. Right.

Keeping with IPL, Salman Khan, whom I have refound my love for, is headed to beautiful South Africa after Preity Zinta called him for some much needed cheerleading for her Punjab XI. Salman has also taken to some campaigning on the election trail for a few of his politician friends. The likes of Vinod Khanna and Milind Deora have utilized Salman's popularity to help them gain a few votes in the upcoming election. Khan's take is simple. He doesn't care about which party they represent but looks at their track record- if you have a few good deeds to your name, Salman will be more than happy to spread the word about you. This has not gone down well with old friend Sanjay Dutt who although never asked Sallu to campaign for him, has seen Khan help out sister Priya Dutt who happens to be Sanjay's rival.

Back to the IPL, it seems that new owner Shilpa Shetty is finding herself in a hot soup with old timer Preity Zinta. Apparently, Shetty claims that she doesn't feel the need to "hug her players" before a match. To which Zinta replied that "they are family," and she can't help it if Shetty doesn't feel that way. Ouch! While I'm not exactly a Zinta fan after the whole Mumbai Mirror Journalist episode, I will side with her this time. Shetty needs to sit down and learn the game.

Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 36th birthday this past week. I was of course, thrilled for the cricketer whose popularity bought him a spot at Madame Trussards and now the Little Maestro has a wax figurine of his own. I'm pretty sure, he will call it quits after the next Cricket World Cup, but until then, he will hit some great knocks and kick some butt!

Ohh! I've been reading Diary of Wimpy Kid. What a fab series of books for young kids- yes, they are made for elementary schoolers but who cares! Set in diary format, it depicts the story of a young boy named Greg as he get through the school year. His antics and understanding of situations are hilarious. A quick and fab read!

Okay, I've tried my best to find all the good things to talk about and now the bad. Sometimes, I think my father is right- I think I take my social responsibilities a bit too seriously but I believe that if I won't then I can't sit and complain of how the country (India predominantly) works. Firstly, the Akriti Bhatia case, a young girl who died from an asthma attack during school has caused quite a stir amongst the Delhi education system. According to school officials, they did the best they could. Okay, my deal: how on earth do you not have an adequate doctor on site to help children? This is not some old sketchy school- this is a modern "plush" Delhi school. Parents pay big money to ensure good quality education and proper medical assistance when required. How DARE the school officials say that they did the best they could? No- they did not. It was a simple asthma attack and a young girl died from it. The principal must step down and a probe must be ordered to investigate the incident. The young girls friends have protested and demand answers. Good for them I say. Secondly, young girls who were molested by their school guard in Mumbai were told to fill out a questionnaire instead of reliving the moments. Its nice to see the police think of more sensitive ways to deal with harsh situations.

The "ethnic cleansing" of Tamil Nadu's in Sri Lanka continues as the LTTE moves forward. Government officials claim that they are making progress but in the bargain innocent Indian's are dying. They do not seem to have any remorse for them and it is just not acceptable. Politically and socially, Sri Lanka and India collectively need to get in on this matter and sort it out. My prayers are with the Tamil Nadu's in Sri Lanka and I hope they make it through safe.

Guess who else have become victims to the Shoe Hurlers? Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and actor Jeetendra. Ouch! Poor Jeetendra - he's too sweet to be hurled at. Looks like the Jhoota has become a popular and effective way of protest- can we safely say goodbye to guns and all its forms forever? Perhaps shoes will be used for more than one purpose now.

And on a sad note, Feroz Khan passed away today. It's really quite upsetting cause I am a big fan of the veteran actor who was fighting cancer. In my opinion, and I've said this before, he is the real King Khan and there will never be anyone after him. He will be missed.

Phew! And with that, I'm all blogged out...for now at least.

April Agony

April has been one helluva stressful, incredibly painful and mind-bloggling month. While I turned 26 (yes, Happy Birthday to me!), I also found many reasons to be mad, angry and just plain pissed off. For starters, spring has not arrived yet, which may be the reason to my "April Agony." When will it start getting a bit warmer- is beyond me. But as my Dad always says, "It's freaky weather," so who knows. Having the sun and warmth around may actually do some good to my otherwise grim dampening mood. But besides that, it's basically been a month that hasn't really made me smile. In fact, April is going to be noted as one of my worst months in 2009.

Today I was maddened by none other than manipulative Shah Rukh Khan. Okay, so you own the Kolkatta Knight Riders, you go around claiming that you and the team love Sourav Ganguly. Dada this, Dada that, Dada- you are no longer the captain: you have been dumped. Uhh did you forget to mention that or did you realize it would be a better idea to announce it when you weren't on Indian territory. Of course, that has to be the reason. SRK is a smart lad who knows that Indians are passionate about cricket and especially the Prince of Bengal. So cricket lovers in Kolkatta are burning his pictures and effigies. I say DO IT! Keep em' burning people. SRK needs to realize that not every one is up for sale - much like him. And honestly, no Dada equals no way in hell the KKR are going to rise above the rest. As for Dada, he is one man who plays for the team and not his individual glory, which ultimately means, he will play like the prince that he is. In fact, he had no clue about the change in captaincy! New Zealand player McCullum can go ahead and captain. As it is, I'm rooting for the Mumbai Indians.

But that was just today. In the last few days, a few more disgusting ordeals have upset me. How does an 11-year-old girl die at the hands of her teacher for the simple reason of not knowing her daily lesson? So young Shanno is brutally beaten until she faints and falls into coma only to die. And then a group of boys in Mumbai intoxicate a foreign student, only to rape her later. The fools are then "shocked" that she screamed rape. HELLO! You rape a girl- she is bound to be a bit angry one would assume. Perhaps my anguish is being understood now? Goodness gracious.

Kasab, the only surviving terrorist of the Mumbai Terror Attacks has decided to call foul on his statement claiming he was under "duress" or tortured when he was asked for a confession. He has retracted confession and not surprised me. So basically, he is caught on television and still claims he is innocent. From here he then also goes on to say he was underage when he was caught and should be tried in a juvenile court. Right. So all this while he was signing and agreeing to be twenty-some odd years. Oh whatever - hang him already.

And then, if I wasn't angered enough, an email came popping to my inbox (courtesy of my father), that took my anger to another level. I found myself forwarding the email to a bunch of newschannels and newsreporters with hopes that they would publicize it and help the Indian public make a fair and just decision of whether or not these politicians are worthy of any votes. A fabulous (in my opinion at least) photographer who captured public leaders and other personnel of disrespecting the Indian flag and the National Anthem. Take a look at the pictures - need I say more?

On a happier note, and yes there were a few, Karan Johar along with Tarun Mansukhani put together a fabulous video for Lead India, encouraging the youth (and otherwise) to vote. Nice to see the stars realizing their social responsibilities. Check it out! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIyrQl5aJVQ) While we're on the topic of voting, India has begun and have had a fabulous record number of people turn out to vote. Keep it coming! Shiamak Davar is a darling - his New York Life ad film is heartwarming - Check that out too on TV! And the IPL has begun - besides the controversy regarding Dada, looks like a great time. Let's Go Mumbai Indians!

March Mayhem

It is only three months into the new year and March is already a month reckon with. The Indian Cricket team went on to create history and win a series against New Zealand after eons. Kudos to Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag who hit amazing knocks against the Kiwis. The women's Indian Cricket team, who unfortunately do not get enough accolades or recognition, are also doing fabulously at their World Cup. Team India beat the worlds best Australia in great pomp and style. I wish the media would cover their accomplishments and give them some publicity. These ladies are such fabulous sportswomen and its such a beautiful achievement on their part. No one may recognize it or see it, but kudos to you ladies.

On the other hand, it has been a week of some serious ragging in India. Young Aman Kachroo fell victim to "Ragged to Death," by his seniors and unfortunately only lived to be nineteen. Ragging is a tradition in many colleges across India where college freshers are bullied and teased in what is supposed to be a fun few days. However, in the past, this custom had taken a serious toll when youngsters took the fun and game too far resulting in a number of deaths. The government banned ragging of any form but it obviously has no meaning for the youth. Aman Kachroo was beaten to death by a group of seniors. School officials took over a day to finally inform the police of the incident. This piece of news made headlines all over India and made audiences believe that a point had been made - this is unacceptable. However, a few days later, a young girl attempted suicide after she was asked to dance naked as a part of her rag. To me, after such instances, I can totally understand why the government has no hope for the youth of India. I can see what they see: a youth that does not understand its boundaries and has no respect for life. Kachroo was a young boy who was the future of his family. It is even more disturbing to learn that he was a medical student and the group of imbeciles that killed him, were potential doctors. Is this what our youth has become - murderers in the form of medical practitioners?

And then there are the upcoming I.P.L's. Both of them: the Indian Premiere League in the form of Cricket and the Indian Parliament eLections. Coincidentally, both leagues will be occurring simultaneously which is a major cause of concern for the national security forces. Clearly both are important in their own ways, but election season has to take precedence. If a match occurs on a voting day, it is more than likely that voter turn out will fall. This is not good considering that the government needs as many votes as they can. At the same time, in the light of potential terrorist attacks which is a universal daily issue that must be tackled, protecting national politicians, international cricketers and our own desi cricketers will prove to be too strenuous for the local police officials. Ideally, the cricket league should either be completely avoided this year or pushed back to a more practical time. The I.P.L and B.C.C.I will beat themselves on the head if anything catastrophic were to happen on any of the match days. In the meantime, VOTE INDIA VOTE!

Keeping with voting season and taking a more positive outlook on the youth of India, they too have decided that this year, the balancing scale needs to be outweighed. A great group of youngsters have gone ahead and started the Lead India Campaign which has some great ways YOU and the government should/can help their country. You must take a look : http://www.lead.timesofindia.com/. You can add to the list of oaths, sign the pledge and get involved.

Hopefully the March Madness soon calms down and all ends well. Until then, my message this month is one of hope and peace. Hope in the form of a new bright India filled with a youth who is willing to take India into the future and peace for our country, our surrounding neighbors and around the world.
