Yummy Mummies of 2012!

We hardly associate mummy-hood with our Bollywood heroines. But believe it or not, some of the hottest ladies in the industry have gone ahead to become mothers this year. And while you may think this is the end of the road for them, they are here to tell you otherwise. It is actually via these actresses that young moms can now draw inspiration. Not only did they look uber hot while they donned their baby bumps but even after, they quickly shed the extra pounds ready to rock and roll looking yummier than ever.

Lara Dutta
She may be an ex-Miss Universe and lived up to her stylish ways when Lara Dutta was deemed the most chicly dressed mums-to-be pre-delivery. In fact, pregnancy hardly stopped her from walking down the ramp at a number of fashion shows. She was more than happy to happily display her bump in full tashan. However, after giving birth to baby Saira, Lara was seen happily taking to yoga to shed those baby pounds slowly but carefully. And while the rest of the world was busy yapping about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s plump ways, it was Lara who stood up to advocate for her.

Celina Jaitley
C.J., as she is fondly called, gave birth to not one but twin bouncy baby boys, Winston and Viraaj, this year. And you’d hardly believe Celina put on any weight during her pregnancy. Proving to be one of the most celebrated moms this year she was rather quickly seen donning a bikini only a few months after her delivery. With immense credit to her intense workout regime and the inspiration of being a part of the entertainment world, Jaitley is now a mother of two but you wouldn’t believe it for a minute!

Shilpa Shetty
Shilpa Shetty is easily the slimmest, fittest actress in the industry today. So as we watched her grow during her pregnancy, it hardly shocked us when she was caught out and about looking fit and fine only two months later. She of course, took to old fashioned ways of losing her baby fat including massages, methi ladoos and the works while she nursed her baby Viaan. While she too wasn’t too keen on hitting the gym too quickly and insisted on enjoying motherhood, it was only a matter of time before she went back to her yoga ways only to lose dollops of weight.

Twinkle Khanna
How Twinkle Khanna went from baby-big to so slim in such a quick period of time, no one will ever really know but she did it after giving birth to baby Nitara. After sporting a rather big baby bump during her pregnancy, Akshay Kumar’s wife was spotted at the Jab Tak Hai Jaan premiere in a strapless sari looking every bit the diva. In the past, Twinkle has spoken heaps about keeping fit via a healthy lifestyle and lots of yoga. And because she barely speaks to the media, this mummy’s yummy ways are a secret.

Amrita Arora
Amu had no clue she was pregnant until two months into her pregnancy. And it was rather rapidly that Amrita’s belly grew. But that didn’t stop her from attending a number of social dos around the city. Baby bump in tow, she took to her fashionable ways and worked the social circuit as she would have pre-pregnancy. After delivering baby boy number two named Riyaan, she is apparently working rigorously to shed those extra pounds.

With these ladies setting the stage for moms in 2012, you can be sure that the mommy’s of 2013 will not only look to them to draw inspiration, but to compete against too. Till then, it’s cheers to these Bollywood babies and their yummy mummys!

100 Word Review: Don 2

Don 2 picks off right where it leaves us. And as predictable as it may sound, a heist is planned in which Don brings in his old enemies and new friends. There’s action, sexual tension and awesome dialogues. Don 2 is stylish (kudos Farhan) but it really lacks meat. SRK redeems himself big time post Ra.One—he is Don in every which way. Priyanka kicks butt well but seems far too turned on in her scenes with SRK. Kunal, Lara, Boman, Aly are all simply apt. Sadly, Farhan’s unique style is somewhat lost. This one is for diehard SRK fans.

Bollywood Venting Session!

I have a number of loves and while I can't choose between two of my biggest loves, Bollywood and Cricket, it doesn't mean I heart one more than the other. Equal pyar bhai. Both of them make me proud on days while they irk me on others. Either way, my dil goes dhak-dhak solely for them. And while I'm on a cricket high currently, I'm also on a Bollywood low. I'm not sure what's going on with Hindi film world, but right now they are doing a fab job of pissing me off. Some of what's going on in B-town is prevalent and now while other issues I have with the industry are simply ones that have been floating around in my head for a while. So here's a bit of a banter session which I need to vent about.

Chup Chup Ke Kyun?

What is up with a large population of our stars who to go on the defense with their relationship statuses'? It's almost become like a fad to keep everyone guessing about whether or not you are seeing person XYZ or not. How boring. Everyone from Shahid and Priyanka, Siddharth Mallya and Deepika to Anushka and Ranveer, seem to believe this "trend" is the way to go with relationship statuses' in Bollywood. And then it gets even worst! Bipasha and John, who couldn't stop praising and singing hymns of their compatibility, are clearly broken up now. But when instead of coming out and acknowledging that they are in fact over, they choose to take a "no comment" boring stand on the question. What's the problem Bips and John? You didn't tire of talking about each other when you were together, why the hush-hush break up? Will someone please tell all these stars that a) we don't care and 2) get over it. #epicfailbollywood

World Bigger than the Universe

I've had Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta on my mind a lot lately. Don't get me wrong - I don't swing that way, although I do admit to claiming that Sush is the only woman in the world who could intelligently and sexily persuade me to jump the gun with her. Moving on swiftly now, I have a question for our not-so intelligent Bollywood folks: why is it our Miss World's seem to hog all the attention (and films) while our Miss Universes' seem to lag behind? Let's be a bit honest here. Ash may be more beautiful than Sush lookswise, but there has to be a reason why the latter was chosen as Miss Universe, no? Uh yeah, Sush is a million times more intelligent people! The same goes for Lara and Priyanka - although, I believe Lara is genuinely more prettier than Priyanka any day. However, Lara and Sush are by far smarter, wittier and more intelligent. However, Ash and Piggy reign far more supreme. Sad, we can't see intelligence and talent even for its true worth. #yetagainepicfailbollywood

Karan is Gone! 

Praise the lord, Karan Johar's show Koffee with Karan is seeing its seasons end! Thank you television gods for having mercy on us. This has been his worst season with stars at their fakest best. No one impressed or wowed; no one was interesting; no one decided, "Okay, I'm not gonna kiss butt". Everyone came on, rubbed each others backs and left. But it's the host, KJo who irritates me the most. I mean how annoying can you get? How much butt can you lick? And how many more times will you tell everyone how you've known Duggu and Bebo for years? We don't care. Please leave your coffee and never come back. #KaransKarvaKoffeeKaththum

Ahh! Now that makes me happy. Khunaas out, heart emptied, venting over. Shutter down, Dhukaan bandh!

Lara Dutta on Koffee with Karan!

This weekend, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi will both appear together on this weeks Koffee with Karan. Apparently, the couple will spill the beans on their relationship, upcoming wedding and so on. Personally, I love Lara so I'm super psyched to her 'cause you know she will be smart, fun and honest! Check out a teaser.

Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra face off in Berlin as they shoot for Don 2. Apparently besides the temperature (which is pretty chilly), the actresses are on icy cold terms.

Preity Zinta is all ready to make a comeback in an upcoming Yash Raj Film. Didn't know she had taken a break. Oh well!

Twinkle Khanna doesn't enter the kitchen claims Akshay Kumar. But that doesn't bother her man; he has a line of cooks available to her.

Sanjay Dutt is Dad yet again. This time to twin babies!

John Abraham has decided to put his issues away with Salman Khan and befriend him. The two had some serious problems in the past which caused them to become enemies of the worst kind.

SRK is celebrating his birthday and Diwali in Berlin this year. In fact, wife Gauri and best bud, Karan Johar are flying into Germany to throw him a bash.

Rumor has it that Tabu is set to tie the knot with a rich businessman. No details have been revealed yet. Watch this space for more.

Vivek Oberoi is all set to marry Priyanka Alve. Word has it that the actor will not go on honeymood straight away but only after the final word on Rakta Charitra is out.

Kangna Ranaut apparently looks up to Sushmita Sen as an older sister and refers to her as "Didi". Word has it, Sush took an instant liking to Kangna.

Yash Chopra did not like Dabangg. He claimed the film had 'nothing new to offer." Right.

Hush-Hush Bollywood Weddings!

In the past a number of actresses have gone ahead and tied the knot ever so quietly. Mahima Chaudhary came back from the U.S. one day married; Twinkle and Akshay Kumar married overnight and announced their marriage at an award function; Ajay Devgn and Kajol tricked the media and switched their annouced venue overnight so they could avoid the paparazzi. But it hasn't stopped there. More recently, actresses have gone ahead to chupke-chupke get married albeit any media or creating any fan frenzy.

Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey did just that before abruptly announcing their wedding online. It was attended by only a few close friends from the industry.

Kim Sharma was in the news for all the wrong reasons. Her hook up with Yuvraj Singh, her breakup, the drama, the dodging, her spat with Shamita Shetty in a nightclub and so on. Finally, we hear from her and she's married! Goodness.

Lara Dutta is the latest to join the bandwagon with her hush-hush engagement to Mahesh Bhupathi. Hopefully, her wedding will be a lavish one filled with designer wear and attended by celebs. You know we love it... and want it!

Lara Gets Engaged!

Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi have decided to tie the knot Bollywood fanatics. Now personally, I'm a huge fan of Dutta simply because she is uber hot, wise and smart. Not exactly one of the finest actresses but nevertheless, she is pretty darn fun. Okay back to the engagement details. Instead of making too much hoopla about the engagement, Mahesh simply tweeted that he had proposed to Lara in New York during the U.S. Opens. She simply retweeted with a smiley face. Cute, me says!

Congrats to the duo! Now, lets see how long they take to actually set a date. Bollywood weddings are such fun and Lara is going to make such a beautiful bride!

Lara Scores!

I absolutely adore Lara Dutta. She's smart, savvy, grounded and pretty. And even though I don't care too much for her constant relationship issues, it is understandable since the girl is so hot. After breaking up with long term boyfriend Kelly Dorji, Lara was seen in the company of Dino Morea. It didn't work out with him and so she find solace in the arms of Mahesh Bhupathi with whom she has been making a number of public appearances. They were seen together at the IIFA Awards in Sri Lanka and then swiftly made their way to South Africa for the FIFA World Cup.

Word has it that besides indulging in some soccer (or football, whichever floats your boat) Lara also hit the casinos and apparently made quite a bit of moolah. Happy with her winnings, she head back home and was in for an even bigger surprise. Bhupathi and his ex-wife managed to sort out their issues regarding marriage all that jazz, thus making Lara dually happy.
